Our people are our greatest assets, and it is through their expertise and engagement that the IEC community can continue to deliver the standards and conformity assessment services that make a difference.
With our digital transformation journey intensifying and a focus on ensuring we have the right level of skills and professionalism to deliver on our promises to our members and the wider IEC community, our Secretariat saw 16 new employees come on board.
The new staff filled roles to manage our newly created digital workplace department, in response to our staff survey, to strengthen our membership and standards development teams, and include an external relations specialist to streamline our international collaboration, as well as a risk management specialist.
In addition, to better fulfil our purpose of delivering impactful standards, we underwent a comprehensive skillsgap analysis. The insights gained are now driving targeted development activities across the organization, supported by our new internal communications function. These include a focus on enhancing collaboration and communication across departments to support inter-departmental projects and create greater synergies.
