Trusted AI infrastructure

2025 saw the continuation of our journey of transformation, with the launch of a dedicated standards delivery unit jointly with ISO and the launch of a strategic initiative to accelerate the responsible adoption of AI across the whole organization. This involved building a trusted AI infrastructure with a clear governance framework. while strengthening internal capabilities to ensure that we can harness the potential of AI to improve our work in a safe and effective way.

Collaboration with ISO for standards of the future

Recognizing that international standards can only offer the value they promise if they are used widely and effectively, in 2025 we evolved our SMART programme to create a joint Standards Delivery Unit (SDU) with fellow international standards organization, ISO.

Through this dedicated unit, we aim tomodernize the development, access and implementation of our standards, reinforcing our global leadership in digital standards.

The objective of the SDU is to ensure that our digital transformation is scalable and enables both organizations to respond efficiently to market and member needs.

This means leveraging new and emerging technologies to deliver tailored, integrative standards and standardization services such as machine-readable standards, the harmonization of digital standard formats and tools and the enhancement of the user experience.

Working with ISO means we can ensure consistency and harmonization of the tools to accelerate and enhance the value of standards across a wider scale.
